
It all started with one crazy idea in the second half of 2022
We really, really—and seriously, we mean really—loved eating cereal. But if we had kept that habit going as we got older, it probably wouldn’t have ended well for our health. We always wished cereal could be more body-friendly, made with ingredients that actually do something good for us. What we never imagined was that we would be the ones to create it.
We know a lot of people face dietary restrictions—whether due to health issues or simply to prevent them. But we also know this: everyone loves cereal. And if we could reinvent cereal to work for almost any dietary need, we’d be solving a real problem for a lot of people.
“Diet” food is often boring—or honestly, just plain gross. We want to prove that “diet” doesn’t have to mean dull.
Right now, there’s nothing even close to innovation in the cereal market. Our vision is to flip that completely. Not just to add a bit more protein, but to pack in 5x more protein than classic cereals. Not just to reduce sugar, but to cut it out entirely. And at the same time, remove gluten, soy, lactose, and all major allergens, skip the coating altogether and to make it vegan friendly too. In short: our goal was to create cereal that’s safe and suitable for everyone—without giving up the nostalgic taste we all love. And we did it.
What follows is a story about something much bigger than just a business idea. Our mission is to bring back the nostalgic joy of cereal to people with dietary limits, as well as anyone who’s conscious about their health. If every person who eats a bowl of Paldy starts their day just 1% better—we’ve succeeded.
It all began one random day in the second half of 2022, when out of nowhere came the wild idea for protein cereal. Like many big innovations, it felt unrealistic and totally out of reach at first.
Weeks went by, but the idea wouldn’t go away. One Saturday morning, our founder (back then just a person with a crazy dream) started Googling. He had no clue where to begin—not even what kind of factory makes cereal. Nothing. Zero.
But little by little, that research turned into a Saturday routine. Then a daily one. After months of digging and more than 500 emails sent, finally—one factory was willing to give it a shot.









The first factory visit
After countless emails and WhatsApp messages, we finally managed to schedule a factory visit in mid-2023—our chance to present the idea in person. We had already been warned from several sides: the product we wanted to create was borderline impossible. And if it could be done, it would be extremely expensive.
We didn’t realize how hard it would be to create cereal that tastes great, has a good texture, no coating, no sugar, almost 40g of protein, gluten-free, allergen-free, vegan, lower in carbs and with very little fat. No wonder no one had done it before.
That’s when things got very, very complicated. We were told we’d have to compromise—either on taste, texture, nutrition, or price. That we couldn’t have it all. Either the product would taste bad but be packed with protein, or taste good with very little nutrition. And if by some miracle we hit the sweet spot with both flavor and macros, the price would be so high, no one would buy it.
Still, we went to the meeting. And after presenting the idea, we finally got the green light—thanks to two amazing people who believed in us.



The first samples
A month and a half later, we received the first samples—unsurprisingly, they were a total disaster. A few weeks later, we got another batch. Still terrible. A few more weeks passed, and although things were slightly improving, the result was still… a disaster. It started to look like the warnings we had received from other factories and food technologists were right: compromises would probably be necessary.
But we weren’t ready to give in. We stood our ground—no compromises. We kept pushing, and step by step, the formulas began to improve. Still, we eventually hit a wall. The factory’s technologists were already satisfied with the product, but we kept insisting that this isn't it.
Because of the high amount of cocoa and protein we were testing, we just couldn’t get the taste and texture right. The easy fix would be to lower the protein, reduce the cocoa, and add a sugary coating to make the product “taste better.” That would have saved us a ton of time and money—and we could’ve finally launch the brand. But that’s not what we stand for. Our vision was (and still is) crystal clear: offer only the best, with no shortcuts. Even if it takes 10 more years, we’re not cutting corners. We’re here to create the highest-quality cereal possible—nothing less.





The last chance
In mid-2024, after trying around 100 different formulations, we were invited back to the factory for what was described as the “final attempt.” Even the factory had grown tired of our endless tweaks and obsession with details. They fired up the machines one last time, adding and removing ingredients in real time—until we finally almost had it. And then—boom. We ran out of cocoa. It felt like some higher power just didn’t want us to succeed.
We went home defeated. The entire project was up in the air, and we genuinely didn’t know if we’d make it to the finish line. After a few tough conversations and many sleepless nights, we managed to schedule one final try.
In October 2024, the new samples arrived—and for the first time, we were 90% happy. We knew we were just oneversion away from nailing it. In November 2024, we finally approved the recipe.
And now, we proudly introduce: Paldy cereal. A product built with every drop of our energy, brainpower, and heart.
This isn’t just another business to us—it’s so much more. We’re true food and cereal lovers, and we wanted to bring that joy back to people who, for one reason or another, can’t enjoy regular cereal anymore.
We truly believe this product will revolutionize breakfast.
